Last week on December 6th, we hosted an event to tackle the lack of knowledge around PSD2 and Acceptance in new markets. We hosted the event at our office on the Herengracht canal. We partnered with Meltwater, Van de bovenste plank and The Wateringhole here in Amsterdam. Together we had a great night filled with speakers, panel discussions and networking.

We started the event with networking at our offices and moved to the Meltwater conference room for our first session on Acceptance with Luis Eliott of Booking.com. Next we heard from our panel of speakers, Simone Aurighi, Emilio F. Rocchi and Cheng Liem Li of PayU, ThreatMetrix and Payvision who continued the conversation Luis Eliott started.
After our first session we took a break for mingling and networking in our office space. There we enjoyed Van de bovenste plank and The Wateringhole’s delicious food and drinks for our guests. It was a great way for like-minded people in the industry to connect and share ideas and insights. After our break, we headed back to the conference room for the second part of the event. Anupam Majumdar of Accenture shared his knowledge of PSD2 with our audience and opened the floor to questions and discussions. Next, we wrapped up the discussion with our second panel session, featuring Nadja van der Veer, Paul Weiss, and Matthijs Koorn working in payments law, at Accenture and in independent payments consulting.

After, we headed back to the office to enjoy more food and networking. The event provided a great space not only for knowledge sharing but for the Amsterdam payments world to connect, collaborate and get to know each other better. We were happy for this opportunity to create a space for connecting and we’re looking forward to hosting more new and relevant events in 2017.
