Vice President / Director of Business Development EMEA, Paris

For a global startup, specialized in fraud prevention, we are seeking a Vice President/Director of Business Development in EMEA to advance the business partnerships and accelerate revenue growth.  You will leverage deal sourcing via the implementation and optimisation of targeted relationships with Financial Institutions, Technology Providers, Data Partners, Ecommerce and Acquirers to propel our machine learning fraud prevention platform to prospective and current accounts.  

Your Day-to-Day

  • Partner with sales team to create new, and expand existing, relationships in the Fintech and Ecommerce verticals throughout EMEA
  • Leverage your relationship skills and industry knowledge to constantly strategize and execute on the next way they can grow its partner base
  • Evangelize the company externally throughout the payment ecosystem
  • Work cross-functionally to maintain strategic alignment with internal stakeholders
  • Develop the partnership strategic framework for our accounts (solution and business alignment), value propositions and customer benefits (the “1+1=3”)
  • Drive optimization of partnerships to achieve targeted revenue bookings
  • Foster innovation and provide strategic recommendations on future areas for partnership activities
  • Assist in the growth of our global corporate strategy to new geographies and market segments through partners and enablers
  • Maintain and update the revenue pipeline data in Salesforce CRM, providing regular forecasts to the team

Your Know-How

  • 5-10 years of experience in Business Development in a target based client-facing role
  • Extensive enterprise sales and channel partnership experience in the payments and fraud space
  • An impressive track record of closing complex deals using your existing, and establishing new, business relationships
  • Ability to understand and demonstrate the company’s products as well as to interact with engineers, operational teams and executives through a variety of channels
  • An in-depth knowledge of what our enterprise customers need and how the products can be best deployed through a consultative approach
  • A track record of working in a fast-paced environment, setting your own demanding expectations, inspiring and supporting your team mates and exceeding those expectations
  • A passion for data, startups and technology and ability to work autonomously from a home base
  • Must be highly organized and a self-starter, with the potential to become a future sales leader
  • Exceptional communication, relationship and organizational skills
  • Bachelor’s degree
